Original PlayStation memory card icons are really small — only 16 pixels square! That’s awfully tiny for today’s screens so I’ve created 2 versions of each icon: one at 32 pixels that is closer to the original size and a much larger one at 256 pixels
FUN FACTS
Originally released in Japan in 1999 as Metal Gear Solid: Integral, the additional VR Disc is what the West would receive as the standalone retail release of VR Missions (NA) and Special Missions (EU). Identical in gameplay, there are only a few changes to the unlockable extras from Integral
There is one other caveat to the way that the VR Disc was chopped up as a separate retail release. In Europe, Special Missions requires players to get hold of the original Metal Gear Solid for a data-checking disc swap before the game can be loaded. Despite disclaimers on the box, this likely came as a surprise to Day 1 buyers. Konami would later release the ‘Twin Pack‘ across Europe in a peculiarly wide box that contained both Metal Gear Solid and Special Missions

Ready to play Metal Gear Solid: Special Missions (VR Missions) in the EU? Hope you held onto your original copy of MGS because you'll have to swap discs to get started! An unpopular roadblock, Konami would later release the 'Twin Pack' with both titles in Europe #PlayStation #Konami #MetalGearSolid
