Progress & Tracking

I started out by using Wikipedia to get a reasonable list of all original PlayStation titles and then made this spreadsheet. You can view it below but it’s probably more convenient on Google Sheets. I then sorted it chronologically by North American releases and got started filling in the blanks that I didn’t already have.

Legend

  • The orange rows denote the majority of league sports titles which I’m either skipping entirely or saving for dead last
  • A gray X indicates a game that doesn’t use the memory card
  • The righthand columns have some assorted notes, either about the games themselves or the icons

Counts

Across the top of the sheet you can see some assorted rough counts. At the far left (above the gold checkboxes) is the count of games that have a page on the site already. Next to that, above the ‘Title’ column, is the current tally of games that I’ve gathered icons from. Each territory column shows a breakdown of its exclusive icons that I’ve captured followed by the Wikipedia-derived count of total games for that region. Yes, there’s a long ways to go!

Some other counts not represented on the embedded sheet show approximately 300 sports titles for North America (NBA, NHL, NFL, MLB, FIFA, etc) and 400 for Japan (including mahjong, shogi, pachinko, and horse racing).
