What am I seeing here?
PlayStation memory card icons are only 16 pixels square! That’s very tiny for modern screens so what I’ve created are 2 versions of each: one at 32 pixels that’s close to the original scale and a much larger one at 256 pixels. Swipe through them and look for captions or Fun Facts below. And while you’re here:

FUN FACT
Given the scope of making a video game, it’s no surprise that the memory card icon may not have always received the most attention. I’ve spotted a handful that appear to be corrupt or “jumbled up” with bands of colors that look out of place.
In many cases I’ve saved the game multiple times or used a different dump of it but so far they always come out the same. This leads me to believe that an error in the code that generates the icon is to blame, be it an oversight by a programmer or possibly a script that doesn’t follow Sony’s SDK guidelines.
I am not an accomplished pixel artist but I’ve tried my hand at recreating what I think is the intended image in some of these instances. In these cases I’ve included the original icon alongside my personal edited version. Let me know what you think!
