Original PlayStation memory card icons are really small — only 16 pixels square! That’s awfully tiny for today’s screens so I’ve created 2 versions of each icon: one at 32 pixels that is closer to the original size and a much larger one at 256 pixels

This separate release is described by PlayStation DataCenter as being “made for the fans of the main game and features bonus maps, data & pictures of the game characters & music of the main game”. All of this content is unlocked from the start but the Bonus Map does include the ability to save mid-battle like in the other Taisen games.
That’s very good news because this bonus fight is immensely hard, especially given that I don’t fully understand all of the series’ mechanics. There might be another unique memory card icon for completing this gargantuan space battle… but I may never be good enough to get there
