Some developers really took the concept of memory card icons to a new level. Some games feature multiple unique memory card icons, be it to organize different kinds of save files or just to express their team’s creativity. You’ll see them denoted around the site by the little purple ‘Multi Icon’ flag on the thumbnail image. Click to view the page and a caption should display on each icon giving a little more context about where it is used in the game. There might also be some other notes below the icons as well.
It is hard to say conclusively how many icons any game might have as various and highly specific conditions could be set in order to generate an alternate icon. One might have to test saving a game under all manner of circumstances just to see if it creates a different icon. In time I’ll likely be revisiting games to see if I can find any more. For now, here are all 81 games on the site that have multiple icons.
